Nashville, TN - Gospel Music Week 2001 is a one-of-a-kind event. Nowhere else on earth will you witness the Christian music community gathered in such force and diversity. This year's theme, "Music Without Walls" is about allowing the good news of the Gospel to transcend the barriers we as
humans tend to erect. Barriers of musical style, race, gender, geography, nationality, language and worship traditions are coming down as we strive for the message in our music to reach as many people as possible. As always,
the seminars are top notch, the fellowship superb and the opportunity to meet and hear hundreds of artists is unparalleled.

The 5,000-member Gospel Music Association is dedicated to educating the public and the music industry concerning the mission and role of gospel music in today's world. Gospel Music Week will culminate with the Dove Awards, which recognizes achievement in all genres of Gospel music and
is the premiere awards show for the contemporary Christian and Gospel music industry.

The convention began on Saturday (4/21) with Bootcamps following different tracks for Gospel Music Week attendees: Industry, Radio, Retail, Concert Promotion & Associate. Radio station air personalities and program directors
participated in seminars on topics such as "Effective Show Prep," and "Elements of a Good Air Shift," which featured guest speakers Hollywood Henderson (KHKS) and Mason Dixon (WYUU). Sales representatives and station managers learned the basics of station sales by attending seminars featuring
guest speaker Sean Luce from Luce Performance Group.

On Sunday (4/22) convention goers attented a morning chapel service featuring Steve Brown (Key Life) with praise and worship led by Third Day. The Center Exhibit Hall opened with booths from Cross Eyed Wear, Feed The Children and Christiantix.com among others. And the afternoon wrapped up
with the 2001 Welcoming Reception where attendees had a chance to meet and greet with some of Christian music's top artists.
