Third Day -- Come Together

ALBUM: Come Together
ARTIST: Third Day
IN A PHRASE: After their highly successful worship project, Offerings, Third Day returns with a call for their listeners to "come together."
GRADE: A-

Come Together is the new project from Third Day that brings them back to what made them who they are. This CD is an eclectic mix, musically, of all the Third Day projects put together.

The title track starts things off right, calling us to come together in love and prayer to "make it all right."

40 Days is a mixture musically and lyrically of tracks from Time and Offerings.

Show Me Your Glory is an earnest prayer from a humble heart that wants to see God. It's also one of the album's best musically. Get On is musically adventurous, as Mac's vocals soar to the highest on the record.

It's Alright leaves the signature guitars behind for smooth acoustic licks and creative percussion. I'm Still Listenin' is almost country, which is a step in a different direction for Third Day.

I Got You is my personal favorite. With heavy drums and skippin' records, Third Day turns the leaf over with even more unique creativity.

Other great tracks are I Don't Know, Sing Praises and Nothing Compares.

My final word ...

It's not much of a departure from classic Third Day sound, but Come Together is a step up lyrically. This CD's a winner.

Until Next Time ...
