Will There Really Be a Morning
Sounds like … acoustic pop/folk; Over the Rhine, Emmylou Harris, Julie Miller In a nutshell: Formerly with underground roots rockers Old Black Kettle, Nashville's Julie Lee now releases a pensive EP of earthy reflections. Her voice is cozy and enchanting while her heart-on-her-sleeve lyrics are spiritual and sensitive.

Others worth noting:
Jupiter Wind Jupiter Wind
4 Stars

Style: pop/rock/modern worship; Michael Gungor Band, Robbie Seay Band, Newsboys

In a nutshell: Grammy-winning producer Dale Oliver (Casting Crowns, Josh Bates), gives this South Carolina quintet's three-song EP a professional leg up on the band's indie brethren. With memorable praise choruses and ultra-tight instrumentation, Jupiter Wind's potential is obvious on just three tracks.

Benjiman S.K.R.I.P.T.
3½ Stars

Style: rap/hip-hip; compare to KJ-52, TobyMac, Paul Wright

In a nutshell: Subtitled "Spreading Kingdom Realities In Perilous Times," this sophomore CD is firmly grounded in the gospel. Still, the seeker-friendly rapper's strategy of evangelism keeps his lyrical bent closer to the streets than to the church.
