Our Almighty God

August 30, 2013

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” - Ephesians 3:20

Almighty God, who created the universe, is your loving Father. Don’t think of Him as being stern and far away.  He is in you right now, ready to help you in all your problems. God wants us to talk with him reverently but also frankly and confidentially, just as a child does to a kind and understanding father. Talk things over with Him in prayer every day, at anytime of the day or night. Tell Him all your problems. Thank Him for His blessings. My friend, God is truly interested in you and everything that affects you. You don’t have to use beautiful words or memorized prayers; just tell Him whatever is in your heart. Think about God’s love and care for you. God loved you so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die for you on an old rugged cross.  Now He wants to help you live a joyful life of victory over sin. Why don’t you take a moment each day to simply thank Him for saving you and for the help He gives you each day?

Remember, the Holy Spirit the Third Person of the Trinity, is the One who performed in you the miracle of the new birth. He made you a child of God.  He lives in your heart to live through you. As you surrender to Him by faith and obedience, He will teach you what to do and give you strength to do it. Our Father in heaven is an Almighty God who will always be in absolute control.
