Abiding Above Despair-Part 2

Psalms 139:7-12– “Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed inSheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, 10 Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will lay hold of me.11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me,
And the light around me will be night,”12 Even the darkness is not darkto You,
And the night is as bright as the day.
Darkness and light are alike to You.”

In these verses we can see the Psalmist telling us that no matter where we are… that is where God is. God is everywhere. As a child of God, you cannot escape the presence of God. If you are wondering if God can be in your situation, just remember how God was with Joseph in his circumstances. Joseph was thrown into a pit, sold as a slave and put on a caravan going to a foreign country, thrown into prison, and more. From the story of Joseph, we can see that God was always with him, and you and I can know that God is always with us.
