Life’s Pressures

May 14, 2013

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.   For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” - Matthew 11: 28, 30

J. Hudson Taylor, founder of the China Inland Mission, understood pressures said this, “It doesn’t matter really, how great the pressure is.  It only matters where the pressure lies.  See that it never comes between you and the Lord, then the greater the pressure, the more it presses you to His breast.”

Let the pressure drive you to the source of supernatural strength, the Person of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you.

Let your stress press you to Christ.  He will never put on you more than you can bear, for He stands with you to shoulder every load.  Once you come to Christ and release your burden to Him, there is nothing between you and Him but sweet peace.  Remember the fruit of His Spirit, one of which is peace. His peace in you as you abide in His Spirit.  His is light and easy and will not pull you down, but lift you up in time of need.
