In Uncertain Times
November 4, 2013
There is alot of uneasiness or anxiety about the uncertainties of life and the future. This is escalated because of the present state of the economy, worldwide. This is understandable, but still, we need to remember, our Father in heaven is mindful of us.
Jesus said in John 10:14 – “I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.”
Do you truly know God? Are you accustomed to hearing His still small voice?
Again, Jesus said in John 10:27 – “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
My friend, in these days of uncertainty, be still, listen to the good shepherd as He speaks to you in the presence of the Holy Spirit.
He is the one who said in Jeremiah 29:11 - “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you. Thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
He is the one who said in Hebrews 13:5 – “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have. I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Someone has wisely said, “Anxiety, makes a rich man poor, but, contentment makes a poor man rich.”
Now, I know what you are thinking, this all sounds good but how do I do it?
This is how. Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things on earth will grow strangely dim. In the light of His glory and grace. Be still. Listen to the Holy Spirit. As you do. Your desires will begin to change as He renews your mind. What you will find is true contentment in Someone, not something. And this Someone, Who’s name is Jesus, can never be taken from you forever and ever.
