Here Come da Judge

by Berni Dymet

Matt. 7:5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor's eye.

The world hates a hypocrite.  Truth be known, you and I - well, we're not that keen on them either…..as long as it's them out there.  I mean, by definition they're the ones that are the hypocrites - not you and me.

Ever honked your horn at someone for not using their blinker, or for changing lanes without warning?  And then, before you know it, you find yourself doing exactly the same thing - and you have that feeling.

I have.  Hypocrite.

Jesus put it this way - don't judge and you won't be judged. Because with the measure that you judge, you'll be judged. First take the log out of your own eye, and then you might be able to see clearly enough to take the speck out of your neighbors eye.

Clever guy Jesus.  You know what I've noticed?  When I appoint myself as judge, jury and executioner - I spend my life getting upset.  It ruins my life.  And besides - the world hates a hypocrite.

So I've decided.  That's it.  I quit.
