Eliminate The “Comfort Zone”

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lordyour God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

THINK

There are many ways to “lose our brave”.  We’ve talked about several and have focused on 4 steps to help us regain our brave:

Believe God is who He says He is.

Refuse To Listen to the voices of doubt.

Align yourself with God’s Word

Value who God created you to be.

Today we complete the BRAVE acrostic with a final step: Eliminate the “Comfort Zone”.  God didn’t really create us to stay in our comfort zone.  It’s not a place where growth occurs.   Staying in our comfort zone causes us to look for peace there instead of turning to the true provider of peace – Christ.  The reality of life is that if we don’t choose to eliminate the comfort zone, life will push us out of that zone and we will suddenly find ourselves very uncomfortable.   It is important to allow God to train us to depend on Him while being uncomfortable for Him. Don’t wait until life pushes you into an uncomfortable place – be willing to step out of your comfort zone to share Christ with others around you!

PRAY

Ask God to help you step out of your comfort zone by praying a high risk prayer. Ask Him to bring someone into your path today to share the message of Christ with.

ACT

Identify an area where you may need to put your brave on. Determine to use this week’s steps to overcome any fears or insecurities that stop you from being BRAVE.
