Don’t Believe Everything You Hear
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.” Psalm 33:12
Our world is packed with talk shows, political blogs, and 24-hour news channels, many designed with a particular bent on politics and government. And those who listen, read, or watch those shows regularly (or even occasionally) are inundated with opinions and perspectives that aren’t always reflective of the truth. Some of the biggest myths in our world today are perpetually repeated in the media. And if we aren’t careful, we can fall victim to believing that which is not even true.
One of the biggest myths when it comes to the United States is that there is and should always be an impenetrable wall of separation between church and state. The fact is that our country was founded on the very idea of religious freedom. That mindset from our founding fathers was based on their own understanding and trust in God Almighty. They firmly believed that God had ordained the founding of this great nation. Don’t believe everything the media says when it comes to God and government. Instead, do the research for yourself, and learn the truth!
Thank God for this great nation. Thank Him for the freedoms we have here. And pray for discernment as you navigate the waters of opinions and perspectives when it comes to how our nation was designed, how it should run, and what your role in it should be.
This past weekend, our friend Mark Davis delivered an amazing message about God & Government. Make sure you watch it again (or for the first time). And share the link with all those you know! Watch Now
