“Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn”. Romans 12:15

Have you ever considered yourself to be royalty? What is your perception of you? In God’s word, He tells us we are a “chosen race, a royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9). Some look for their value in ways that God never meant for them to know. Our culture and our environment can play a huge part in the way we perceive ourselves, therefore impacting life-long decisions we make.

God has called us out of darkness into the light; He affirms who we are in Him through His people. We are to edify one another (1 Thess. 5:11). God knows how important it is for us to find our purpose in His kingdom. Remember, our histories may be different, but our humanity is the same. Our validation is an intricate part of our walk with God, so be mindful of this when dealing with others.

“Lord, remind me to be affirming to those around me and to whom I cross paths with. Help me to be accepting of others in all their filth and to be that healthy connection to Christ that they need me to be”.
