Acknowledge Who Jesus Is
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” -Romans 10:9
We all want to live a life of purpose, a life of meaning. We want our existence to matter. For that to truly happen, though, we must first live a life of thankfulness for what God has given us and what He has done for us. And at the very top of that list is Jesus.
When we acknowledge with our lips that Jesus is Lord, the Bible promises us that we will be saved. That doesn’t mean we won’t face difficulties or that life will be without problems. What it does mean, though, is that our eternity will be set in heaven with God. We will no longer have to wonder where we will spend forever. And because of that, we can experience purpose today. That is truly something to be thankful for!
Start today by thanking God for who He is and what He has done for you. Take some time to reflect on the sacrifice He made for you, and admit to Him what is true – that Jesus is Lord.
Have you ever admitted to God that you are in need of His saving grace? If not, you can do it right now. If you have admitted that, have you told others about how that decision changed your life?
