Faithful Servants | Psalm 116:15-19

Today's Passage: Psalm 116:15-19
Key Verse: Psalm 116:15

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.

Death is an unwelcome guest. We cringe at its arrival. But precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.

Death is an untimely visitor. It always comes too soon. But precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.

Death is an unwanted intruder. Even at the end of a long life we hang on. Still death barges in. But precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.

Death always has its way. Sometimes arriving in a moment. Sometimes through a long illness. Sometimes through the process of aging. But precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.

Death is the last enemy. There is no glamour in any part of its process. It is a thief coming to take away all we have known. But precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.

For the believer death is only a transition. Because of Jesus we will pass from death to eternal life. Thatís why we can say: Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.

Lord Jesus, thank you for conquering death for us. Thank you for the promise that we will pass from death to life. In your name. Amen.
