Preparing for the Worst
By: Rick Boxx

As Chief Financial Officer, Jason uncovered multiple unethical situations created by the owners of the privately owned company where he worked. He confronted them on several occasions with no lasting resolution.
Jason knew he needed to prepare for the day his moral stands became repulsive to the owners. Jason’s wife went back to work, and they began an aggressive savings plan.
These proactive steps gave Jason the courage to stand with integrity. When he was finally terminated due to his ethical stand, he was prepared.
1 Peter 1:13 teaches, “Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.”
Preparing for the worst is sometimes the best way to have the courage to stand with integrity.
