Professionalism on a Budget
by Rick Boxx
In a Wall Street Journal article, two professors summarized their research on organizational credibility. One of the four factors determined to be critical was the company's professionalism. Your surroundings and attention to detail speak volumes about your business.
After touring thousands of businesses in my career, I've discovered a correlation between an orderly plant and how well the organization is managed. If you do well with what you have right now, you are more likely to be blessed with more later.
In the parable of the talents Jesus taught in Matthew 25:21, "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things."
In your work, attend to the details. It doesn't cost much more, but it does pay dividends.
