The Business Lie

A friend works for a company that touts their "Better Business Bureau" certification to enhance their credibility with customers. When he discovered that they don't even belong to this organization, he confronted the owner.
He was shocked when told, "It's just a business lie. It doesn't hurt anyone, yet it helps land customers."
In Acts 5, Ananias and Sapphira claimed they had given all real estate proceeds to the church, even though they didn't. In verse 4, Peter told them, "Didn't it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn't the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied to men but to God."
If you're tempted to tell a "business lie," remember Who you're lying to.
