The Half Court Swish
by Rick Boxx

Joel Branstrom, a basketball coach in Olathe, Kansas, was told by his students that if he made a half court basketball shot blindfolded he would win Final Four basketball tickets.
As a prank, the student body was told to cheer wildly when he missed the shot. Their plan was foiled when he actually made the shot.
The students hadn't considered that possibility. There were no Final Four tickets.
Numbers 30:2 teaches, "When a man makes a vow to the Lord or takes an oath to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said."
Although the kids were having fun, and others did eventually provide tickets, I wonder if they now understand the importance of promises.
