In a Rut
The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg is an interesting book on how entrenched we can become in our daily routines. He explores ways to break free from bad habits. We all have habits that spill over into the workplace.
Our habits dictate our effectiveness or ineffectiveness. Our ruts can be productive, provided they are the right habits. When workplace habits become layers of bureaucracy and the only answer for why is, “Because that’s how we’ve always done it,” that’s when there’s a problem.
Isaiah 3:10 teaches, “Say to the righteous that it will go well with them, for they will eat the fruit of their actions.”
Your habits will dictate your results. Pause today and examine your habits, and if necessary, make changes to improve your results.
