The Freedom of No
By:Rick Boxx
June 13, 2016

My friend, Ron, admitted that he still constantly strives to prove himself. He constantly works to expand his business, even when he doesn’t have the time and doesn’t need the money.

Realizing this was a form of bondage, Ron chose to shrink his business and his stress. Then the true test came. His largest client offered him a significant new business opportunity.

It was hard, but Ron said, “No, thank you.” He left the office realizing that the word “no” actually brought him freedom.

Galatians 5:1 teaches, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

If you tend towards saying “yes” for the wrong reasons, seek freedom by just saying “no.”
