Destroyed Trust
By: Rick Boxx

Have you ever considered how much we trust in the gas pump to tell us how many gallons of gas we’ve just pumped? … and that it’s properly calculating the price per gallon?

When I was young I heard stories of gas stations manipulating pumps for personal gain. Due to this, the industry became regulated to protect the customer.

Certain businesses lend themselves to more temptation than others for manipulating quantity of product. Due to the need to trust in the weights and measures of the supplier, customers are often at a disadvantage.

Leviticus 19:35 teaches, “Do not use dishonest standards when measuring length, weight or quantity. Use honest scales and honest weights.”

Trust is critical in business. One indiscretion can wipe out the trust of your customers and destroy your business.
