Would you like to retain your best employees? According to a Wall Street Journal article titled, "How to Keep Your Best Executives" the ideal way to do that is to serve their needs more than your own.
A survey, referenced in the article, uncovered the career objectives most important to executives. It also identified the areas in which employers least satisfy their employees. According to the article, companies that help their executives be more valuable to others, actually retain their best employees longer.
Once again God's Word already had the answer. The Apostle Paul taught in Philippians 2:3, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves."
If you are a leader who desires to keep your best talent, remember to consider their interests more than your own.
