Which Code of Ethics?
By: Rick Boxx
September 13, 2011

According to the Kansas City Star, Robert Williams applied to be a San Diego police officer. In the application he admitted to sexual contact with a child and viewing child pornography. The police arrested him.

His wife thinks the police have an integrity issue. Integrity is often defined as “strict adherence to a moral code of ethics.” The police department upheld their code that included laws against pedophilia.

If Mr. Williams’ personal code of ethics values honesty more than children then he may have been adhering to his code. So how do we know which code of ethics to embrace collectively?

Psalm 119:152 teaches, “Long ago I learned from your statutes that you established them to last forever.”

For justice to prevail, God’s code is the best for us collectively.
