Count the Cost
By: Rick Boxx
September 19, 2011

A friend moved to a different city to start a new department for a broadcasting company. After leasing an apartment and moving, he excitedly started his new job.

Unfortunately, his boss didn’t have a defined plan for this new department. At the end of the first week, the department was scrapped and my friend was terminated.

Jesus said in Luke 14:28-29, “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? For if he lays the foundation and is not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule him.”

Counting the cost in business includes planning. Before you put someone’s livelihood at risk, make sure you have a plan.
