Today's Scripture

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take."" - Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT

Thoughts for Today

Economic challenges work hardships on some families that are beyond their control. However, financial problems often result from unwise family management or distorted financial attitudes. We will look at some of these issues this week.

If you are struggling financially, perhaps you will recognize some mistakes you are making . . . and a way to make some changes.

Consider this …

Financial stewardship is important to the family because money problems can lead to difficulty in the marriage relationship. Unwise family financial management and distorted financial attitudes can develop into a trap.

Stress brought about by financial problems can affect every area of our life: our health, our ability to focus at school or on the job, our relationship with co-workers, friends, and family. Financial problems can also distract us from doing what God calls us to do.

Are you experiencing that kind of stress? Or do you know someone who is? God wants to help you find your way out of the frenzy and into his peace. Join us each day this week as we learn to identify the problem and turn to his Word for answers.

Prayer

Father, I need to find my way out of this financial stress. Please show me changes I need to make and help me follow through. In Jesus' name . . .
