Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.

--Proverbs 13:20

You could state the verse above using a plain Texas proverb: If you lay down with dogs, you’re gonna come up with fleas!

The bottom line is that wise people hang out with wise people. If you hang out with fools, your life’s going to be a mess!

As parents, it’s vital that we impart this wisdom to our children. Because who they hang out with will greatly determine who they’ll be in the next five to ten years.

I’m so thankful my parents and grandparents instilled this principle in me as a young boy. And while I’ve made a few mistakes along the way, I’m grateful I was always connected to a church and was always involved with Christian friends.

Choosing wise friends will help save your kids from experiencing a lot of hurt and heartache along the way. And it will help set the stage for their success in life! So help your kids choose their friends wisely.

WISE FAMILIES CHOOSE GODLY FRIENDS.
