Power Point - March 21, 2006

March 21, 2006

And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

--Acts 4:31

Unlike many people today, those in the first-century church didn’t rely upon emotions to experience God’s power. Rather, they knew how imperative it was to stay connected with God through prayer.

In the same way, you and I need to stay connected to God through prayer so that we can allow Him the opportunity to move in our hearts…and to be a witness for Him.

Maybe today you’re in a situation where there seems to be no way out. Maybe you’re in an impossible predicament that doesn’t seem to have an answer.

Whether your marriage is in trouble or your finances are crumbling, there is power, comfort, and wisdom in God through prayer. And as you take your requests to God, people will see the work of His power and peace in your life.

As Paul tells us in Philippians 4:6-7:

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

If you want to experience the power and peace of God in your own life, then you must have a consistent, daily prayer life. Ask the Lord today to help you make this a priority!

WE NEED TO STAY CONNECTED TO GOD THROUGH PRAYER.
