The Journey with Ron Moore

A New Creation | 2 Corinthians 5:17-20

2 Corinthians 5:17-20 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation . . . We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.

At one time I was an enemy of God. My back was turned on him and I was headed in a different direction. I wanted to be in charge of my life and refused to acknowledge his authority. Sure, I accepted that he was there, that he existed. However, he was distant and I was content to keep it that way.

Then one day that changed. The God I kept at a distance became up close and personal. He stood in front of me. He introduced me to his Son who died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin. He made me a new creation. He gave me significance.

God appointed me as an ambassador! He commissioned me with the significant responsibility of speaking on behalf of Jesus! He appointed me as his representative. Now my life has significance and meaning because of who I am in Christ.

Father, thank you for the unbelievable privilege of being your ambassador. Thank you for allowing me the significant opportunity to speak on your behalf. Thank you for changing me from an enemy to your friend. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
