Hebrews 4:15-16

For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathise with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

You can connect with Jesus on the relational, emotional level!

Of course Jesus knows about what you’re going through: He knows everything. But He doesn’t just know intellectually…He knows emotionally!

He may not have experienced your recent promotion, but He knows the joy and laughter of life when things are great. He never had a doctor tell Him that He had an aggressive form of cancer, but He’s experienced incredible physical pain and the knowledge that He was going to die young.

He never went through a divorce, but He did have His closest friends and family turn against Him, call Him crazy, and deny Him. He never had a business partner backstab Him and run off with His money, but He did have His bookkeeper embezzle from Him and sell His life for some pieces of silver.

You might think there is one thing He can’t identify with you about—your heavy burden of guilt. But you’d be wrong. He took on Himself the guilt of the whole world.

When you need to relate to someone on the gut level about your life, turn to Jesus.
