2 Corinthians 5:17-20

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ,  as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

One of the biggest reasons you are on this earth is to carry on Jesus’ ministry of leading people around you into a right relationship with God!

This passage just reiterates what Jesus said to us in His final commission before leaving earth, when He gave the Great Commission. If God’s purpose for you were simply to love Him deeply and glorify Him fully, then He could have taken you straight to heaven when you were born again. Why did He leave you here? To share Christ with others!

Who are the people in your life who do not yet know Christ? People at work, in your neighbourhood, at uni, on your sports team? Could you start a spiritual conversation with one of them this week and see where God takes it? Take a risk. Aren’t you glad someone told you?
