Job 33:14-18

“For God speaks in one way, and in two, though man does not perceive it.  In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, while they slumber on their beds, then he opens the ears of men and terrifies them with warnings, that he may turn man aside from his deed and conceal pride from a man; he keeps back his soul from the pit, his life from perishing by the sword.”

When God speaks we should look for his good purpose!

In this passage we see Job being rebuked by Uriah. He is telling Job that God speaks in many ways but Job might not be listening for the right way.

God is reminding us today that he can speak in many different ways, but the one thing we must realise is that he has a good purpose for us. “To turn man aside from his deed, and conceal pride from a man…” No matter what God is saying, you can rest assured that he has your best interest at heart. He longs to keep your “life from perishing”.  What has God been trying to share with you?  Ask him to open your ears, so you can perceive it. What is stopping you from committing to him completely?  Today is the day.  Talk to God today about anything that is stopping you from following his perfect plan for your life.
