LET’S ENVISION THE WINDSOCK AGAIN

Imagine the windsock flying boldly full of wind. Imagine yourself being fully utilized by God as He works beautifully through you, loving others and replenishing your innermost needs at the same time! Isn’t it glorious?! God is awesome the way He does that!

When God was initially teaching me about His perfect love and giving me a visual of the wind and the windsock, I celebrated Him by saying, “You are a wind; You know no bounds.” When I said this, I imagined the expanse of God as if a never-ending blanket folding over and covering up all my circumstances. It was comforting. I began to feel God’s strength rising up within me, despite myself, how I felt and all the obstacles I saw.

Then, one day, God encouraged me to praise Him with the following words, “You are a wind within me (i.e., the Holy Spirit and the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in me) and as a result, I know no bounds.”

As I daily submitted to the power of the Holy Spirit, I felt His strength rather than my inabilities and fears. I began to sense a unison of praise welling up within me as if the Holy Spirit was singing and praising God and my spirit was doing it too - with Him. God was impressing upon me that when I focus on His strength within me, I know no bounds as well.

Fear of man, acceptance, ridicule, unknowns, what-if’s, some people liking me, some people hating me, some people understanding me, but more than not judging me by what they think they know of me, speaking up in front of others, lack of material possessions, praying with others, giving to others, asking for immeasurably more than I ask or believe… a mixture of all of these things and my concern or fear about them evaporated during the time I was praising Him in this way.

I encourage you to praise God today by saying, “Father God, You know no bounds and because You live in me in the form of the Holy Spirit, I know no bounds as well because the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in me. I envision You, Lord as the wind and I am the windsock that knows no bounds. May You be glorified. May Your perfect love flow through me to others, boundlessly. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
