Jesus Felt the Power Go Out from Him - Warrior Mom Wisdom - Week of March 7

Warrior Mom Wisdom Devotional

JESUS FELT THE POWER GO OUT FROM HIM!

A large crowd followed and pressed around him.

Mk 5:25And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years.

Mk 5:26She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse.

Mk 5:27When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak,

Mk 5:28because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.”

Mk 5:29Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

Mk 5:30At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

Mk 5:31“You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”

Mk 5:32But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it.

Mk 5:33Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth.

Mk 5:34He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

I want to highlight one point of this story:Mk 5:30At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

I love this! At once it says – at once! At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. Isn’t that remarkable?! I want to have the kind of faith that knocks loudly on the throne room doors in Heaven and causes Jesus to realize that “At Once” a woman with overflowing faith has made a request. May we have that kind of faith in this very moment and beyond the words of this devotion. May Jesus become beautifully bombarded with the faith of His servants today and may He say, “At Once the Power has been transferred from Me to you! At once your request is granted!”
