“Judah did evil in the sight of the Lord, and they provoked Him to jealousy more than all that their fathers had done, with the sins which they committed.” (1 Kings 14:22,)
Because God is perfect and holy, He can be righteously jealous. In fact, He would be less than holy if He was not jealous.
A perfect God demands perfect allegiance. A perfect love demands perfect devotion. Jehovah God is the perfect God who has shown us perfect love in His Son, Jesus Christ. We have responded through committing our lives to Him, today and forever.
So when we stray from our perfect God and His perfect love, He is perfectly right to be jealous. His jealously leads Him to begin to draw us back unto Himself, where we are to be expanding His Glory while we await His Kingdom.
Today, have you become wrapped up in sinful actions or thoughts that make God jealous? Return to Him in repentance and begin to zealously commit each action and thought to God.
