God's Provision: Part 1

“Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your Heavenly Father knows that you need them all” (Matthew 6:31-32).

Spend some time this week reading God's word and stories of how He provided for others. Here is a great example of Him providing for a widow and her sons:

Widow and her sons: In 2 Kings 4:1-7 we find a great story of God's provision for a widow and her two sons. God used the prophet Elisha, a small amount of oil, and empty jars in order to provide a way for the widow to pay her debts and to have enough for her and her sons to live on. There are many great lessons in this story, but one that really stands out is a lesson that all of us have something that God can use, even when we think we have nothing! So what do YOU have?
