Christmas Tunes
With the arrival of the Christmas season, I have been spending much time in thought. My thoughts can be summed up in one sentence: WHY DO THEY START PLAYING CHRISTMAS MUSIC THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING?!?!?!

No, Im kidding. I really do like Christmas music. But some people really feel this way. I was listening to the radio in November and immediately after a Christmas song was played, a man called and began chewing out the disc jockey for playing Christmas music so early. Never try to argue with a disc jockey is my new radio call-in motto. The disc jockey calmly let him rant for all of 15 seconds, and then switched him off and said Well thank you for that call. Next up: Jingle Bells! Seriously, I do like playing and singing traditional Christmas music. However, I am always on the lookout for something new and fresh. In years past, I have been captivated by such tunes as Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer, I Want A Hippopotamus for Christmas, Bubba the Redneck Reindeer, and other classics. (Yes, these are actual songs. Except I cant remember if its Bubba or Leroy) This years fresh new original song was brought to my attention by my friend Olivia Johnson from California. Since I have finals coming up (I am writing this in early December), I have reluctantly (yeah right!) allowed her to save my rear by using a song that she found in the Florida Parent Educators Association Newsletter. The Internet is truly amazing! Thanks, Olivia. Enjoy it everyone!

12 DAYS OF HOMESCHOOLING
Author Unknown (and probably wants to stay that way)
sung to the tune of 12 days of Christmas

On the 1st day of homeschool my neighbor questioned me:

Can you really homeschool legally?

On the 2nd day of homeschool my neighbor questioned me:

Are they socialized?
Can you really homeschool legally?

On the 3rd day of homeschool my neighbor questioned me:

Do you give them tests?
Are they socialized?
Can you really homeschool legally?

On the 4th day of homeschool my neighbor questioned me:

What about P.E?
Do you give them tests?
Are they socialized?
Can you really homeschool legally?

On the 5th day of homeschool my neighbor questioned me:

YOU ARE SO STRANGE!
What about P.E?
Do you give them tests?
Are they socialized?
Can you really homeschool legally?

On the 6th day of homeschool my neighbor questioned me:

How long will you homeschool?
YOU ARE SO STRANGE!
What about P.E?
Do you give them tests?
Are they socialized?
Can you really homeschool legally?

On the 7th day of homeschool my neighbor questioned me:

Look at what theyre missing?
How long will you homeschool?
YOU ARE SO STRANGE!
What about P.E?
Do you give them tests?
Are they socialized?
Can you really homeschool legally?

On the 8th day of homeschool my neighbor questioned me:

Why do you do this?
Look at what theyre missing?
How long will you homeschool?
YOU ARE SO STRANGE!
What about P.E?
Do you give them tests?
Are they socialized?
Can you really homeschool legally?

On the 9th day of homeschool my neighbor questioned me:

What about graduation?
Why do you do this?
Look at what theyre missing?
How long will you homeschool?
YOU ARE SO STRANGE!
What about P.E?
Do you give them tests?
Are they socialized?
Can you really homeschool legally?

On the 10th day of homeschool my neighbor questioned me:

I could never do that!
What about graduation?
Why do you do this?
Look at what theyre missing?
How long will you homeschool?
YOU ARE SO STRANGE!
What about P.E?
Do you give them tests?
Are they socialized?
Can you really homeschool legally?

On the 11th day of homeschool my neighbor questioned me:

Can they go to college?
I could never do that!
What about graduation?
Why do you do this?
Look at what theyre missing?
How long will you homeschool?
YOU ARE SO STRANGE!
What about P.E?
Do you give them tests?
Are they socialized?
Can you really homeschool legally?

On the 12th day of homeschool I thoughtfully replied,

They can go to college!
Yes, YOU could do this!
They can have graduation!
We do it cause we love it!
They are missing nothing!
Well homeschool forever!
NO, WE ARE NOT STRANGE!
We can do P.E.
We give them tests!
They are socialized!
And WE DO REALLY HOMESCHOOL LEGALLY!

Merry Christmas!
