You know, after reading this article I thought about how I would love to home school my child, but living in Los Angeles where the cost of living is extremely high I can't help but wonder how in the world will I be able to do that!!??? My husband and I both work. We live in a small apartment and have dreams to own a home so that my child can play in the yard, but again with the unaffordable mortgages, that too is on the back burner and wonder if that will ever happen as well. I have a college education (and make more than he does), but he doesn't have one and we are both living paycheck to paycheck. We don't overspend and we only spend on what is needed. I would love to play the Christian wife role that God has intended for me, but the circumstances do not allow for it. Just wanted to share my thoughts.

Very possible that this work of Katharine Trauger will become "Article of the Year." She has clearly put into words what I have felt in my heart for a long, long time. It would be a blessing for CW homeschool viewers to have this piece republished on a quarterly basis. The message is pointed, edifying, and timeless.
