My husband and I are close and caring, but we have been struggling to reconnect, and feeling really lost. Most of what I read tells me I need to be more proactive in seeking to have my needs met. That type of thinking has not worked and doesn't feel right. This article is very clear about a more Biblical approach, mutual submission. What a clear picture of how God can teach us this "dance" of marriage!!! And how wonderful that God uses this loving marital relationship to help us both learn better how to honor Him with our submission.

My wife and I are in the second level of INSTE (Institute of Theology by Extension) classes through our church (hence my username), where we learn how to be good Christian leaders by first being servants, as was Christ.
By serving the Lord together, praying together and studying scripture together, our dance is well choreographed by God. We take time to enjoy our similarities and differences and use our gifts to bless each other as well as those in our church and our ministries.
This article is right on the money, so to speak. It affirms why your relationship is good or shows what needs to be tweaked if it isn't.
Thank you, Crosswalk for giving us access to articles like this.
Yours in Christ,
Jim (insteboy)
