doesnt matthew ch 19 verse 9 make an exception for divorce in the case of fornication or sex outside the marriage. Does that part of the scripture not count?

I have difficulty understanding how churches can take requests for prayer for those who are physically ill, but in the next breath ignore I Cor. 7:10-11 and pronounce sick marriages dead and have a funeral. "Remain as you are (divorced)or be reconciled to your mate."

"What God has joined together, let not man put asunder" means that no one has God's authority or power to undo the one-flesh relationship of His institution called marriage...NO ONE.

In Mal. 2:16 God clearly says, "I hate divorce". He is not going to arrange divorce, and certainly will not bless that which He hates.

The church had best take the stand that God takes, and teach it to all members.

I recommend this article highly. A must-have for all couples. The situation may differ for some couples, but it requires humbleness before the Throne of Grace and the Lord of hosts will grant our hearts desire. The issue of re-marriage is well addressed in I COR.7:7-9. This chapter addresses the issue of marriage to the best of my knowledge.

This is not of God EXCEPT OF CASES WHERE EX-SPOUSE IS DEAD. That is not my opinion, but rather a direct quote from the Word of God - Romans 7: 2-3 says ...
2For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
3So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

The 10 Commandments make it clear that to be called an adulteress is to live in sin. No different than an article about homosexual unions as far as I can discern.

I don't agree with the remarrying part of this article. Doesn't the Bible clearly state that remarriage after divorce is adultery?

I am in some disagreement with the part of remarrying. Should we as believers seek for remarriage? Is that not considered adultery? Please let me know how you feel about this. Thanks and God bless!
