To hold a man accountable is one thing, but carefull to those who are too hard. Everyman is a failure & in need of God's daily redemption. Scripture tells us that He will extend to us that which we extend to others. Pray for those who fall & then pray that the Lord would also keep us from the same.

I learn something new every day!

Calling a fallen Christian-Judeo man a hypocrite is being non-judgmental.

There's Christian love, empathy, and forgiveness: NOT!

"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," --Romans 3:23 (NIV)

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? --Luke 6:41

Check for planks before slapping labels on people.

I think what makes this, and every Reps failing in this fashion, is the hypocrisy. This man hounded Pres. Clinton for Clinton's afair to the point that Clinton should have resigned. What was good for Clinton isn't good for Sanford? If this man is Rep and the party isn't speaking out against this, I'm going to have to register as an Indepnedent or just not be registered any more.

There has been many tragedies this week which only reminds us how important prayer is. We need to cover ourselves with God's armor on a daily basis, that is done with prayer.

The biggest loss for me this week was the "Matriarch" of mine & my husbands Mexico ministry. She started back in the 70's going down to help the poor and sick with food, clothing & building churches. She even brought down two disabled kids on 2 separate occassions to get them well at Children's Hospital in LA.

Nothing stopped her not even when her health deteriorated in the last couple of years. She had a full long life of 87 years and I thank the Lord he has passed the baton to us to continue the ministry. The loss of a true hero, she was a good and faithful servant and I was blessed to have known her.

This has been quite a week - senators having affairs, the deaths of several celebrities, and the John & Kate divorce. It makes me think of that Rich Mullens song that says,

"We are frail
We are fearfully and wonderfully made
Forged in the fires of human passion
Choking on the fumes of selfish rage
And with these our hells and our heavens
So few inches apart
We must be awfully small
And not as strong as we think we are"

It also reminds me of that old joke about the person praying, "Lord, I've done pretty well so far today. I haven't lied or gossiped or let my selfishness hurt any of the people I care about. But it's time to get out of bed now and I'm going need your help if I'm going to avoid all of those temptations for the rest of the day".

We've had some good reminders lately that there's no compelling reason to think too highly of ourselves.
