Right on, Christa.

I took my wife to this one last night, not having read your review (wish I had!) and thinking the film's ostensibly pro-life message (which I'd read about elsewhere) would make the film worth seeing.

Niether of us realized the adulterous baggage that the film would saddle us with.

Had the movie ended at the 1-hour mark, I would've rated it highly. That second half is a killer.

Intersting that we would spend words on the character's request for 'drugs' (i.e. the insinuation of pain medication and/or epidurals) that are requested by many, women including Christian, as a normal part of childbirth. Her request and usage of the 'drugs' were not indicative of abuse. But not any words were provided to describe the physical and emotional abuse that the character endured. "Treated poorly" is an understatement.

I do agree that extramarital affairs were sensationalized and shown in higher regard.
