I thought this movie was overrated and distasteful. It is supposed to be about a kids’ toy and the director turned it in to an atrocious movie about sex and violence. I would not let me preteens watch this if it was the only thing on TV. If you stand up for morals or values you will not see this movie!

My son wanted to see Transformers so bad because he loves to play with the toys. I hadn't heard much about the movie so I figured before we let our preteen son watch it we had better review it. Boy am I glad we did!!!

We turned it off before the half way mark due to the language, violence and sexual content.

This movie is supposed to be about a children's toy from the 80's . It is far from that! It's plot is weak and confusing. If that is all that was wrong with this movie that would be great! However, there are comments about mast****tion in it that no kid needs to hear about, skimpy outfitted girls and pure unnessecary violence scattered throughout the movie.

This is not a movie I would watch for my own enjoyment and not one that I would let any child or teen watch!

I have seen Transformers twice already and I am ready to see it again!!!! Tranformers will have you on the edge of your seat from the begining to the end and the comedy is endless! The movie is so real you can not tell that they used computer graphics. Micheal Bay and Steven Spielberg did an awesome job on this project!! I LOVED IT and encourage all to see it but I do agree with one previous comment. Due to the intensity of the action in the movie it should only be for those 16yrs and older. Enjoy youself at the movie, expect the unexpected and remember that there is definitley "More Than Meets The Eye" in Transformers.

I just saw the film tonight. I saw only a bit of bad language and I can't say I saw any distasteful actions between the Sam and Mikaela. I will say I don't believe that 13 year olds should be watching the movie. I believe it should be for 18 and older. I am 60 and really enjoyed it but with the fighting and some of the language I do believe it would be better for that age group. I did like it very much it was full of laughs and I got a little sad when Sam's car was getting beat up. Your emotions I feel were all over the place which made the movie great.
I would rate it a "B" (I would rate it a "A" but they rated it PG-13 and this I disagree with. So they get a "B" for bad rating)

My wife and I went to see the movie. We walked out in the first 15 minutes. We did not see the humor in the car dealers dialogue and his mama's gesture. It WAS NOT FUNNY! I would not allow my kids to do it, and refuse to laugh at it. What burns me up is that we wonder why children don't respect others. Look and listen to what their parents laugh at. I'm sorry that so many will see this movie and from this review they will get the idea that poor taste in humor is "hilarious" and disrespect for authority is "acceptable."

When I read the review, the first thought in my head was "Has this person any clue of what the Transformers are all about?"

I thought the movie was one big thrill ride from start to finish. Yes there were some moments of hilarity and moments of sadness but to watch Optimus Prime come to life after 20 years was enough for me to go again and again.

Instead of bringing up the worst in this movie, please try to find the good moments in this movie (there is quite a lot of it).

The movie is about us as a whole..Autobots and the human race.

Reviewer is WAY too negative!!!

I thought this was one of the better movies I've seen in a long time!

PROS:
-Some of the best eye candy I've seen to date!
-Good clean Good Vs. Evil plot (I thought crosswalk would have liked that!)
-Action packed...keeps your attention.
-Its hilarious! I didn't think they could pull off putting so much humor in a movie like this, but they did and most of it was great.

CONS:
-Some bad acting here and there
-Some scenes feel out of place (ie: the boy girl fling...excessive humor)
-Ending should have been explained better

Overall, I thought this movie could have been horrible, but I was surprised that the good parts seemed to outweigh the bad. I would enjoy seeing this movie a second time and will probably buy it.

It is quite obvious that the reviewer never followed the original transformers.

Sure if you look at just the movie then yes, it's a whole save the world type of idea but tranformers is such a great series and Michael Bay did an amazing job of bringing Transformers in to the real world. The effects are mind blowing and finally a cartoon based movie with great acting, and finally a cartoon based movie that had much more than just effects in it.

Also want to point out that there was alot of language, and I wouldn't say that they were mild either.

It's a shame you portrayed the movie in such a negative light because any transformers lover will understand the greatness of the movie.

I totally agree. My son and I have been watching the Transformers cartoons since he was 4. We are both excited to see the movie tomorrow. I think it will be a lot of fun.

To someone who has never played with the Transformer toys and read those books like me I think this would seem a fairly good movie. I can imagine others might have imagined more moralistic stories and so Michael Bay might not have reached their expectations (the fans). I just saw this movie and I loved it. I agree that the computer geeks could be the real heroes to have brought those machines to life on screen, but I also liked its moral and came out smiling from the movie. The main actors acted really well, which is hard to find even in blockbusters these days I think. Overall, Style extravaganza over good substance, yes.
