Just saw it last night and thought it was a great movie. I didn't like the swaring but it was few and far between. Watched the extras with Matt learning how to spin his car around it reminds me of my motor head days. I noticed that they were trying to make a politcal statement but at least they didn't use the words "weapons of mass destruction".

This review fails to even consider that the current "war" in Iraq is a could in fact be a power grab by elites. If you want to get enlightened a bit, Good Christian Men (and Women), a good book to read is "Chain of Command" by Seymour Hersch.

I once was a blinded right-winger. I still have my pro-life core, but believe me, all is not as it seems to be. Please do yourself a favor, and stop being the lemmings that most of you are.

Wow, nice spoiler on the movie. Fortunately, I've already seen it, but I'd have to agree with the previous commenters. I am very pro-American and tend to be very sensitive to the left-wing Hollywood propoganda machine and just didn't get that in this movie.

I've heard comments before about this being anti-American, anti-Bush or whatever we want to say and it just didn't resonate with me. Now, had the people Bourne was sent to kill been primarily middle-eastern terrorist guys, it may have been more suspicious. In my opinion, if they were trying to push an agenda, I think they did too good a job at making a really good action film to get their message across.

I saw all the 'Bourne' movies and did not find an anti - American slant in them. So, I was a bit surprised to find people thought they were anti - American. Perhaps it was beuase it made the CIA torture and do anything no matter how horrible mindset of the department Jason Bourne battles. This mindset is not American, Jason Bourne by exposing them and the people being brought to justice is pro American. As we are a country of human rights and Justice.

As much as I tend to agree with some of the statements made (and I did enjoy the whole Bourne series), you have to remember that these stories started out as books by Robert Ludlum...the storyline was already set (although Hollywood always has a way to interject their own agendas to some degree). Although the books were not PUBLISHED until after Sept. 11th 2001, Robert Ludlum passed away in MARCH or 2001...before the attacks ever took place. He was not alive to see his books published, let alone made into movies. I am sure Hollywood has taken it's own approach, but the story started out just that...A story...a WRITTEN story. I don't believe this book was against Bush because Mr. Ludlum probably finished writing (or at least dreaming up) the books before President Bush was even running for office...anyway...just a few of my insights. I thought the movies were great...I support our troops, and my government!

I am a fan of the Bourne Series and I loved it. I never seen a movie trilogy that all three parts were awesome and kept you on the edge of your seat until the very end! I really didn't take the comment of "You would do anything to save American lives" as bashing the miltitary. I feel that "Jason Bourne" enlisted in a separate part of the government that was "off the grid" to do whatever they needed to do to accomplish the mission. Military personnel have a code of conduct to live by and when it is broken, they are held accountable. This movie pointed the finger at "specific people of interest" and those responsible were brought to justice at the end. Sometimes we read too much into a movie and make some things bigger then they are. For those Bourne Fans and Action fans, this final saga will definently deliver! I will say that this movie is not for children, only young adults.

It is sort of sad that a great espionage novel turned movie would have to have an anti-American slant.
But I think those who really like the Bourne character can take it with a grain of salt.
The bad versus good is typical of any sort of movie with guns. For those who have seen "Shooter," I think it is rather predictable in some ways, but in others, it is rather sinister is how people in the federal government - and a large group - have infiltrated the organization plotted to kill someone. That movie is rather far-fetched.
But in this case, the international connection to espionage and covert operations is perhaps too easy for liberal screen writers not to connect to the current administration.
And yet, the unintended result may be for young men to want to continue to volunteer for covert ops missions. I think most young men can filter out the bad from the good.

Very typical of Hollywood movie trends in the last few decades -- to make the CIA or FBI or even NSA the 'bad guys.' Anti-american sentiments abound; the only good elements in any military or intelligence group are the people willing to betray their superiors who are judged politically incorrect.

Even way back in Lethal Weapon, the CIA 'rogues' are dangerous, but now more often it is the agency and administration itself we are to be suspicious of. (as if in the intelligence business, any field agent could have all the facts to be able to decide top-level policy for himself, to decide whether it's moral or not!) And Damon in his debut 'Good Will Hunting' preaches about the evils of working for NSA.

As usual, with Bourne we get a handsome hero, an exciting plot, and entertaining action, all wrapped around a lump of poison: a message of Hate Your Country.
