Thanks for the heads up. I agree with what you guys had to say, except that Happy Feet is acceptable to view. I have friend who is doing a dissertation that includes Happy Feet as an example of the secular humanistic mindset and how the "hero" who has "Happy Feet" is used in a method employed by movie writers today to portray people and now animated animals as the savior.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the reviewer's assessment of the movie. I agree with the first response from paweber: why do we think it's acceptable to take kids to movies hoping the objectionable parts will "go over their heads"? Furthermore, why is it acceptable for their parents to view objectionable content? Animated movies can be a particularly insidious format, in that we automatically assume they are child(family)-friendly.
Although I was disappointed with the article on "Bee Movie", at least it was informative enough for me to decide not to take the family to see it.

First of all, I saw Happy Feet ( I pre-screen all movies before I take my children).
If the writer of this article only considered "the heavy-handed ecological moralizing cluttered what was an enjoyable creative endeavor" as the worst of the movie, I will not rely on them for critiquing movies for me or my family. There were sexual insinuations and lusty songs throughout!

In my opinion, if my child cannot watch a film, neither should I. in other words, if there are some sexual insinuations in a movie, I should not see it, regardless of whether it is "over the heads" of my children -
the Bible says " I will set before my eyes no vile thing" - what is wrong with translating this to " I will set a few vile things before my eyes, and my children's eyes, in the hopes that it will 'go over their heads", just for the sake of wasting 2 precious hours of our lives in "entertainment"?
