American Gangster Robs Viewers of Time and Money

I really loved this movie, especially because it shows the reality in which many see themsels.

I just viewed the film and I disagree with the article. Yes, there was some explicit content in the film to show the depravity of the situation that actually happened. We can't deny that this was based on actual events so why filter it? Although there were some explicit content the overall theme and premise of the film was that crime doesn't pay and honesty brings about true justice which is truthful. Also, because of the way it ended the gangster lifestyle wasn't glorified in any way. Lucas ended up with nothing and he was punished so were all the other individuals who participated in the organization. This is not a film for children of course but it has a redeeming moral in the end. It raised a couple of good questions to make people think as well. Can someone legitimatly be a Chritian or appear to be a "good Christian person" while living in sin? On the outside Lucas maybe had it all or had it together but God messures us on the condition of our hearts not what is on the outside.
