Although very graphic, Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd is a movie worth seeing. The film should be viewed with discretion and someone intending to watch the film needs to be aware of the brutal killings. The music is phenomenally done, and the cinematography is fantastic. Although I felt my daughter of 13 was ready to handle this movie, all parents may not feel the same.

And contrary to the review of the violence, a dead baby is never shown. The "dead baby" is Johanna's (Sweeney's daughter) doll from when they showed Todd before he was sent to prison. You see him hold the doll up to his baby and shake it-before he is beaten. The doll that appears to be a dead baby is shown when Mrs. Lovett takes him upstairs to his former room and he lifts cloth covering the old baby cradle. It appears rotten because Todd has been away for 10-15 years. If it was a dead baby it would mean Johanna was dead and wouldn't get to sing 'Green Finch and Linett Bird'!

Just thought I'd share!

Very accurate review! Although I had to turn my head away from the very depictive murders (which meant that I had to turn away a billion times!), it was a very clever film.
