I haven't seen the movie, so I can't speak to what lengths it goes to show the fall of culture in an extreme situation. But I do have to say that I disagree that society would not degenerate into such a state under extreme circumstances. One only need review what happened in New Orleans in just one week during Hurricane Katrina - rapes, murders, theft . . . human culture flew out the window when people thought the end was near!

Sadly, our increasingly godless culture is ever only one tragedy away from total chaos.
