I am not intrigued with yet ANOTHER commitment-phobic movie. Ho-hum. Give me plots that show "good against evil" or that have some sort of Christian message or moral message where the main characters learn something about themselves or others after experiencing real trials and tribulations.

If the title grabs me as "bubble gum" such as this one, or if it sounds "familiar," I will not waste the precious money God gives me. (I admit that I was once stupid enough to waste my money on Confessions of a Shopaholic.) Yes, there does seem to be a moral message in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, but I will watch another version of A Christmas Carol to get that. It's much less vapid.

I'm not a McConaughey fan 80% of the time. But I must admit, this seems like one of his better attempts. At least it offers a more realistic view of sexual exploits actually being unhealthy for the participants. I can't guarantee I'll make it to theaters for this film, but I'll definitely watch it on DVD. Nice knowing there are some slightly rusty gems hidden in McConaughey's filmography.

To the other commenter, I understand where you're coming from with the fear of ghosts and such. But I must also add that never once have I had bad vibes from films such as "A Christmas Carol." If everyone could have such experiences, they would learn a lot about themselves and usually change their sinful ways. If we could see into the future and witness the harm we undergo with our choices, naturally we'll better choices before our future actually happens. It's good to be aware, but lashing out in fear against films that can potentially help others make wise choices is damaging. Just a thought.

this being on a christain music/movie site should have some kind of comments regarding its content of being able to tap into the here after. I would not recommend this movie for any christain movie goer seeing that God does not want us according to Duetoronomy to compromise with witch craft and contact with the dead. As a christain knows to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, so you, me anyone cannot contact the dead. What you are contacting ar spiritual forces of darkness who can disguise themselves to look like a loved one, causing you to believe in ghost. I recommend staying away from such movies, even though you know the truth, it opens up doors with curses in your life to demon activity. May christains all over the world wake up to the fact that compromise is not acceptable by God. May God have mercy on us all.
