First of all, this part - 'a tepid love story.' I thought it was a WONDERFUL love story - one of the best I have seen in a long time!!!! I have always thought Edward Norton was a very good actor, but I fell in love with him in this movie!
And this part - '"The Illusionist" never explains how Eisenheim carries out his most impressive illusions, nor is it much interested in the “false hope” Eisenheim acknowledges stoking within his most ardent admirers.' Who cares?!?!? It was a GREAT movie, and everyone in my party agreed on this point!! We don't need to know all the secrets!
