There’s a reason Steven Curtis Chapman has won more Dove Awards than any artist on the planet and why he’s inspired a generation of new artists—he’s quite simply an incredible songwriter and a compelling singer who knows how to give voice to our collective hopes, fears, joys and faith.

He does just that again on this potent collection of songs, co-produced with Matt Bronleewe (Jars of Clay, Plumb). “Cinderella” is a poignant ballad that spotlights a father’s relationship with his daughter in a novel way. “Yours” is a stirring reminder of God’s power and presence in every situation and that “this is our Father’s world.”

“One Heartbeat at a Time” will make every stressed-out mom who hears it sigh and wipe a tear as Chapman’s lyric reminds her of the importance of her contribution. “You are Being Loved” is a buoyant pop number with an infectious melody. The title track is a meaningful anthem that will take its place alongside such Chapman classics as “For the Sake of the Call” and “The Great Adventure.”

It’s been three years since Chapman’s last studio album, and this is a welcome return by the artist who continues to set the standard for great pop music with a message.
