Honor Your Parents

We have been given one set of parents. Were they perfect? Of course not. In fact, some have experienced profound rejection and hurt at the hands of parents. Still, we are told to honor them. Perhaps you are like me—the older I get, the more I appreciate the sacrifices made by my parents. Their foibles and missteps lose much of their fierceness as I reflect on my own challenges in being a father. So, take time today and consider what you can appreciate about your parents and what simple way you might show them honor.
